The Furnishing Industry Association of Australia (Vic/Tas) Inc presents FURNITEX. Australasia’s largest furniture and furnishings Trade Fair showcasing the latest designs from Australian furniture manufacturers and importers. This Fair gives furniture and furnishing buying groups, retailers, interior designers, decorators and architects the opportunity to see and buy the latest products, learn the latest industry developments and network with their peers both at the Trade Fair and in a full program of concurrent functions. TRADE ATTENDANCE

  • Over 15,499 visitors attended the Fair with retail visitors again the strongest sector followed by decorators and designers
  • Friday was the busiest day with 31.7% of Trade Visits recorded on that day followed by Thursday at 29.8%, Saturday at 21% and Sunday at 17.5%
  • Victoria was again the most represented state with 74.5% of Visitors followed by NSW at 9.1% and then QLD at 5.3%

TRADE PURCHASING DECISIONS

81% of visitors held direct authority or influence for purchasing the types of goods or services seen at the Fair

Of those who held direct authority or influence for purchasing

93% indicated that they were ‘likely’ to ‘very likely’ to make contact with an exhibitor following the Fair

88% indicated that they discovered new products at the Fair

83% discovered new suppliers at the Fair
