3. Who can attend?

The LEATHER, BAGS & ACCESSORIES FAIR is a trade only event.  Admission is strictly restricted to professional persons working within the Fashion Industry. Business identification such as your business card may be requested upon entry.

Further information about what is considered appropriate Business identification can be found in FAQ 13.

4. How much does it cost to attend?

Once registered as a bone fide Trade Visitor, attendance is free.

5. What sort of ranges will I see?

You will see hundreds of new and well established labels and ranges of bags, jewellery, belts, millinery, leather, luggage, eyewear & much more..

6. Do I need to register to attend as a Visitor?

Yes, Click Here to register online.  

You may also register by fax or mail on the registration form attached to the Trade Invitation. To ensure that you receive your copy of a Trade Invitation please call 03 9654 7773. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Visitor Access Cards from previous Fairs are not valid.  You must re-register.

7. What happens when I register?

ONLINE REGISTRATIONS
If you register online you will receive an emailed confirmation that gives you a summary of your registered details as well as your unique registration identification number. Your Visitor Access Card will be mailed directly to you before the Fair. 

FAXED REGISTRATIONS
If you fax us your registration, your registration will be processed and your Visitor Access Card mailed directly to you before the Fair.

All Visitor Access Cards will commence being mailed from August 2008.  If you do not receive you Visitor Access Card before the Fair, you can collect it from the onsite registration desk located at the entrance to the Fair.

8. Can I change my registration details or check my details?

Yes, if you need to check what details have been registered please telephone the Organiser, Australian Exhibitions & Conferences Pty Ltd on tel 03 9654 7773. Your registration details can also be altered when you arrive at the Fair at the registration desk located at the entrance to the Fair. Visitor Access Cards can also be collected or re-issued at the registration desk at the Fair.

9. When can I expect my Visitor Access Card?

Visitor Access Cards will be mailed in August 2008.

10. What if the name or company on my Visitor Access Card is not correct?

If your card contains incorrect information bring it along to the registration desk at the entrance to the Fair where the operators can print a new card for you on the spot at no cost. You can also change your details by calling the Organiser, Australian Exhibitions & Conferences on tel 03 9654 7773. Your updated Visitor Access Card will be re-issued or can be collected from the registration desk at the Fair.

11. What if I forget my Visitor Access Card?

Registered Visitors may obtain a replacement Visitor Access Card at the registration desk without filling out another registration form. You will already be on our database. Just bring business identification with you.

12. Can I still attend if I have not registered before arriving?

Yes, you are welcome to register at the registration desk at the entrance to the Fair. We recommend pre-registration to avoid any queues.  All registrations completed at the Fair will require business identification.

13. What do I need to bring as business identification?

Relevant identification includes: business card, letterhead or company documentation containing your company ABN. You may also be asked for personal identification such as a drivers licence to substantiate your identification.

14. Can students attend?

Final year Students enrolled in fashion studies at a tertiary level may attend the Fair after 1.00pm on Tuesday 16 September 2008 only.  Students are not required to register. Course Administrators must apply in writing to the Organiser prior to the event in order to bring class groups to the Fair.  Applications should be sent to julieanne@aec.net.au Student badges are issued onsite from the Registration Desk.

15. Can I bring my family to have a look?

No. As this is a business event, entry is restricted to persons involved in the Fashion Industry.

16. Are there child-minding facilities?

No these facilities are not available at the Venue.

17. Where is the Fair being held?

The LEATHER, BAGS & ACCESSORIES FAIR is being held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Southbank. This venue is centrally located less than 5 minutes from the Melbourne central business district and well served by public transport.

Trams
There is a tram stop at the entrance to the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Tram Nos. 12, 96, 109 travel along Clarendon Street from South Melbourne, Port Melbourne and St Kilda and service the CBD via Collins and Bourke Streets.
Trams run every 6-8 minutes during peak times, 7.00am - 9.00am and 4.00pm - 6.00pm and every 10-12 minutes between 9.00am and 4.00pm.

Trains
Southern Cross Station (formerly Spencer Street Station) is just a short stroll from the Melbourne Centre. The Dandenong, Frankston, Belgrave, Lilydale and Sandringham lines run every 15 minutes and St Albans, Williamstown, Werribee, Upfield, Epping and Eltham run every 20 minutes.

20. Do I need a Visa to visit Australia?

Most International Visitors to Australia will require a Business Visa to enter the country. For Government details on Visa's visit the Australian Government Immigration site at www.immi.gov.au. Remember if you need to make a Visa Application make sure you do so well in advance as there is usually a processing period involved.
