6. Do I need to register to attend as a visitor?

Yes, visitors may register online.  Registrations can also be completed and returned by mail or fax on the Trade Invitation that will be mailed in early April 2009.  Should you wish to receive a Trade Invitaion by mail call 03 9654 7773.

7. What happens when I register?

If you register online you will receive an emailed confirmation that gives you a summary of your registered details and a unique registration identification number. Your Visitor Access Card will then be mailed to you 3 weeks prior to the Show.

If you fax or mail us your registration – it will be processed and your Visitor Access Card mailed directly to you 3 weeks prior to the Show.

8. Can I change my registration details or check my details?

Yes - if you need to check what details have been registered please telephone Australian Exhibitions & Conferences Pty Ltd on tel 03 9654 7773.  Your registration can also be altered onsite at the Registration Desk at the entrance to the Show.

9. When can I expect my Visitor Access Card?

Visitor Access Cards will be mailed from 8 weeks before the Show. If your registration is received prior to 1 June 2009 your Visitor Access Card will be mailed to you, otherwise you can collect the Visitor Access Card at the Registration Desk when you arrive at the Show.

10. What if the name or company on my Visitor Access Card is not correct?

If your Visitor Access Card contains incorrect information bring it along to the Registration Desk at the entrance to the Show where we can print a new Visitor Access Card on the spot at no charge.

11. What if I forget my Visitor Access Card?

Registered visitors may obtain replacement Visitor Access Cards at the Registration Desk without filling out another registration form.  Just bring business identification with you.

12. Can I still attend if I have not registered before arriving?

Yes, you are welcome to register at the Registration Desk at the entrance to the Show. We recommend registering prior to arrival so that you can avoid any queues. All onsite registrations will require business identification.

13. What do I need to bring as business identification?

Relevant business identification includes: business card and a letterhead or company documentation containing your company details.

14. Can students attend?

Students may only access the event on Thursday 18 June 2009.
Only students enrolled in an Occupational Health & Safety course at a tertiary level or registered apprentices may attend the Show. Students/Teachers must send a written request to the Organiser to attend the Show, including details of the Institution, Course, intended attendance time and number of students.  Group size is limited to 10 students and each group must be accompanied by a teacher / supervisor.

Requests should be put into writing and emailed to the Organiser at safety@aec.net.au

Students should not register as trade visitors. They must show appropriate student identity upon arrival if prior approval has been received from the Organiser.

15. Can I bring my family to have a look?

No, this is a business event and entry is restricted to trade only.
Children under 16 may attend if accompanied by an adult at all times.

Trains
The city's new Airtrain system will connect Brisbane airports directly to the City with services every 15 minutes. The main city train stations are Central in the CBD, Roma Street Transit Centre on the edge of the CBD and South Brisbane Railway Station which is the closest station to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.  Click here for more public transport information.

Ferries
Brisbane's famous CityCat Ferries cruise the Brisbane River and depart dedicated access points every 30 minutes and every 20 minutes during peak hour. The nearest CityCat terminal is located at the South Bank Parklands, five minutes walk from the Centre.  Click here for more public transport information.

Buses
Buses service all parts of Brisbane regularly with the new city Busway stations located directly outside the Centre.  The closest bus station to Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre is the Cultural Centre Busway and is serviced by all of the city buses.  Click here for more public transport information.

21. Do I need a Visa to visit Australia?

Most International visitors to Australia will require a Visa to enter the country. For Government details on Visas visit Australian Government Immigration site at www.immi.gov.au. Remember if you need to make a Visa Application make sure you do so well in advance as there is usually a processing period involved.  Australian Exhibitions & Conferences do not supply invitations for overseas visitors to this Show.
