CONSULTATION BECOMES KING IN VICTORIA

From 1 January, new laws mean Victorian employers must consult with employees on workplace health and safety issues. The need to consult is part of Victoria’s new Occupational Health and Safety Act and to help people understand the consultation process, a special booklet called Talking Safety Together has been produced by WorkSafe Victoria.

The 36-page guide for employers and employees provides guidance and practical information about the new duty, worker representation and resolving workplace health and safety issues.
