You will see over 150 companies displaying an extensive range of Workplace Health & Safety and Materials & Manual Handling products and services.  Held concurrently is the WA Safety Conference, featuring over 40 speakers covering the latest issues in OHS.

3. Who should attend?
WA Safety Show is a Trade Only Event. Admission is restricted to professional persons working in any field where health and safety is a consideration.

Some examples of who should attend are:

4. How much does it cost to attend?

Trade Visitors – after registering, attendance to the Trade Show is free.

6. Do I need to register to attend as a visitor?

Yes, all visitors must be registered to enter the Show. There are 4 possible ways of registering:

1. Register online. Click here to go to the online registration page

2. Register by fax. Complete the Trade Show Registration panel on the WA Safety Show Trade Invitation and return by fax to 03 9654 5596.

3. Register by mail. Complete the Trade Show Registration panel on the WA Safety Show Trade Invitation and mail to WA Safety Show, c/o Australian Exhibitions & Conferences, PO Box 82 Flinders Lane, Melbourne VIC 8009.

4. Register at the Registration Counter at the entrance to the Show.

If you would like to receive your personalised Trade Invitation in late June 2008 please tel 03 9654 7773 with your request.

7. What happens when I register?

If you register online you will receive an emailed confirmation that gives you a summary of your registered details as well as your registration identification number.  Your Visitor Access Card will then be mailed to you from 3 weeks prior to the Show.

If you fax or mail your registration – your registration will be processed and your Visitor Access Card mailed directly to you from 3 weeks prior to the Show. 

Visitor Access Cards will commence being mailed from late July 2008.

8. Can I change my registration details or check my details?

Yes, if you need to check your registration details please telephone the Organiser on 03 9654 7773.  Alternatively your registration can also be altered onsite at the registration desk at the entrance to the Show.

9. When can I expect my Visitor Access Card?
Visitor Access Cards will be mailed from late July 2008. If you do not receive your Visitor Access Card in the mail it can be collected at the Registration Desk when you arrive at the Show.

10. What if the name or company on my Card is not correct?
If your Card contains incorrect information bring it along to the Registration Desk at the entrance to the Show where the we can print a new card for you on the spot at no charge.

11. What if I forget my Card?
Registered visitors may obtain replacement Visitor Access Card at the registration desk, at the entrance to the Show, without filling out another registration form. You will already be on our visitor database.  Just bring business identification with you.

12. Can I still attend if I have not registered before arriving?
Yes, you are welcome to complete the onsite registration form then proceed to the registration desk at the entrance to the Show. We recommend registering prior to your arrival so that you can avoid any queues.  All onsite registrations will require business identification such as business card, letterhead or company documentation containing your company details.

13. What do I need to bring as business identification?
Relevant identification includes: business card, letterhead or company documentation containing your company ABN. You may also be asked for personal identification such as a drivers licence to substantiate your identification.

14. Can students attend?
As this is a business event, students do not register to attend.

Students enrolled in a occupational health and safety course at a tertiary level or registered apprentices may attend the Show upon presentation of appropriate student identification.

A written request to the Organiser from the Course Lecturer must be made prior to the Trade Show in order to arrange student passes at the event. Please email your request to safety@aec.net.au

Students may only attend on Thursday 14 August 2008.

15. Can I bring my family to have a look?
No, this is a business event and entry is restricted to trade only. Children under 16 may attend if accompanied by an adult at all times.

18. Where is the Show being held?

WA Safety Show is being held at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre, 21 Mounts Bay Rd, Perth. The Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre  is situated in the heart of the beautiful city of Perth, within easy walking distance of the city's major hotels, business, restaurant and retail districts.

19. How do I get to the venue?

Getting to the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre (PCEC) is easy. If you're not driving, there are many transport options that bring you to the door of the centre - or at least a short stroll away.

Parking
The City of Perth owns and operates the carpark at the PCEC through its business unit City of Perth Parking (CPP).  The carpark is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week except for maintenance and servicing.

Due to it's popularity, the PCEC Carpark tends to fill up quickly. However alternate parking is available within a short walk of the Show. Click on the Parking Location Map for further parking options.

Walking
The PCEC is located next to the
Swan River and its many walking paths. From South Perth, the Venue is a 20 minute stroll over the Narrows Bridge. From Perth's Central Business District, the PCEC is between a 5 minute and 15 minute walk, depending on your starting point. And from West Perth, just walk down King's Park Road and onto St Georges Terrace before heading down to the PCEC.


Taxi
Perth's taxi drivers are well known as being friendly and helpful. There are taxi ranks near the PCEC and taxis can also be hailed from the street. Taxis can drop off guests in a "drop-off zone" in the PCEC's arrival plaza. When booking a taxi, make sure you advise the taxi companies of special requirements.

Bus
There are 13 bus service areas within the Perth region, with four major bus operators. Perth's central bus station, known as the BusPort, is located adjacent to the PCEC and bus services to all suburbs of Perth are frequent. There is also a free Central Area Transit (CAT) bus service that runs through the City of Perth.

Perth's train system is operated by Westrail. The central Perth
train station is only a 10 - 15 minute walk from the PCEC.

Perth Water Transport operates ferries from the Barrack Street jetty in Perth to the South Perth foreshore. The Barrack Street

21. Do I need a Visa to visit Australia?
Most International visitors to Australia will require a Visa to enter the country. For Government details on Visas visit Australian Government Immigration site at www.immi.gov.au. Remember if you need to make a Visa Application make sure you do so well in advance as there is usually a processing period involved.
